Rebate movement maintenance

Movement Type Definitions define a type of product movement (typically sales, but can be any transaction) which can be used in a rebate definition to accrue rebates.  Authorised users can create, change, copy and delete as many uniquely identified movement definitions as required.  Each definition has many options for selection criteria which will determine whether any particular product movement will be eligible for rebate under any definition.

Selection criteria allow for inclusion or exclusion of either a list or range of values for characteristics of the product and of the movement.  Product sales which meet all selection criteria for both the product and the sale become eligible for rebate under the movement definition.  Any rebate definition which includes this movement definition will cause the rebate applicable to the product sale to be calculated and accrued.

Movement (sales) selection criteria may include or exclude lists of values or ranges of values for any or all of:

  • Type of transaction (invoices, credits, transfers, etc.)
  • Type of sale (normal, specials, giveaways, etc.)
  • Price and/or Pricing group
  • Discount and/or margin percentages
  • Line Item type (pack or system, or a component, or stand alone item)
  • Company or division, branch, region or sales rep that the customer is allocated to
  • Various other customer related indicators

Product selection criteria may include or exclude lists of values or ranges of values for any or all of:

  • Branch
  • Origin
  • Effective dates
  • Seasonality
  • Item hierarchy groups (five levels)
  • Various other classifications and status flags
  • Any number of user defined item classification types
