Reminder letters can be generated for customers with expired or about to expire tax exemptions so they can update their tax exemption certificates. When the letters are generated, Customer history is updated and a CRM incident is created automatically in CRM from customer history. The following system template for the CRM incident must exist in the CRM system templates.
CRM incident template must be defined in TMSCRM/CH-IF for the customer history note type.
Generate tax exemption remainder
- Expand menu Other Modules > Other Regions > US Options > US and Canadian Taxation and double- click Customer Tax Exemption Reminder (BNW150).
- Enter the letter code for the reminder letter and the following information.
| Field | Description |
| No of days to expire | The system will select contracts that has already expired and those that will expire in the Number of days entered here. If the entry is:
0 = contracts that are expiring today plus already expired contracts will be selected. 5 = contracts that will expire in the next 5 days plus already expired contracts will be selected. |
| Company | Enter/select the Company to generate letters for a specific company or leave blank to select all. |
| Customer | Enter/select the Customer to generate letters for a specific customer or leave blank to select all customers for the above company/companies. |
- Click OK to begin the letter generation process.
