ISBN copy

This program has been specifically designed to create items that are part of a range of identical products that only differ in colour.

The program performs the following functions.

• Creates new Items. Up to 40 new Items can be created at one time.
• Adds these new Items by copying the Masterfile information from the copy Item, with a single entry.
• The delimiter is used to indicate where the Item number ends and its colour code begins. This delimiter is a user defined character, for example it can be a back slash, full stop, or dash and needs to be entered, together with the colour code, in the Copy to fields.
• The delimiter is also used by the Daily Sales Reports to retrieve and present the sales information for each of these colour Items. For the total sales of the Item, without the breakdown into sales by colour, the quantities and values by delimiter are summarized to form one total.
• If the item being copied have a contributor linked it is copied to the new item.

Create an item range

1. In the menu, expand Base Modules > Distribution > Masterfiles >Database Management > Database Management > Item Masterfiles > Item masterfiles and double-click IM Colours Creation/Copy. DSM021 ISBN Copy panel appears.

2. Key in all the required fields and click OK to confirm. The masterfile of the original item is copied to all the new items.
