Monthly sales profile

This program is used to add/maintain a monthly sales profile. Targets in the Rebate Sales file can be split into monthly targets on a percentage basis.  This is an optional function of Rebates. The rebate monthly sales profile is based around a financial year, with month 1 being the first month in the financial year and month 12 being the last.  This program only gives an estimation of the rebate earned within the selected profile.

Add a monthly sales profile

  1. In the menu, expand Other Modules Rebate & Commissions > Maintenance and double-click RB Monthly Sales Profile Maint. RBM140 Monthly Rebates Sales Profile panel appears.

Monthly Sales Profile

The monthly sales profile code is mandatory and is used to spread the accrual over a period of time which could be a year, 3 months etc. Note: Monthly sales profit must be blank if not selected in the accrual method/rate field.

  1. Click Add. RBM140 Monthly Rebate Sales Profile panel appears in add mode. 
  2. Enter the Monthly profile name and click OKRBM140 Monthly Rebates Sales Profile panel appears to specify the monthly percentages.
  3. Specify the monthly sales profile; for each month enter a percentage of the target rate making sure the entries add up to 100% and click OK.

Note: This is a monthly percentage depending on the sales amount used to calculate the rebate amount.

If September has a percentage rate of 5% then the customer receives 5% of the monthly sales amount in the form of a rebate.

If the customer sells $10000 of a particular item and is entitled to a 5% rebate for a selected month the following calculation is used:

5/100 X 10000 = $500 for the selected month.

The following month within the profile may have a percentage rate of 10%, therefore:

10/100 X 10000 = $1000 for the selected month
