Royalty inquiries

This is a master Royalty inquiry with multiple selection fields allowing you to inquire on one or multiple contracts based on a range of selection. When filtering by payee/agent, the system will show all contracts that belong to the payee/agent match code regardless of expiry period.

1.  In the menu, expand Publishing Modules > Rights & Permission > Royalty Inquiries and then double-click Royalty Inquiry . RYI000 Royalty Inquiry selection panel appears.
2. Enter the selection fields as required and click OK. Selected contracts are displayed.

This Inquiry lists sales by movement type up to a particular period.

1. In the menu, expand Publishing Modules > Rights & Permission > Royalty Inquiries and then double-click Royalty LTD Sales Inq. RYI050 LTD Sales selection panel appears.
2. Enter the Item, Contract and Period.
3. Click OK.

This Inquiry displays royalty sales balance information by contract and period. Each value is rounded to whole currency amounts.  A total for each amount in each column displays. Withholding tax method is to be determined by the company. For each company the withholding tax method is defined to determine how the tax is calculated. The available methods are – On payment and On earned Royalty.

The inquiry also includes taxable cost (as others) and deferred cost transferred (as current others).

1. In the menu, expand Publishing Modules > Rights & Permission > Royalty Inquiries and then double-click Royalty Balance by Contract Inquiry . RYI200 Royalty Balance by contract selection panel appears.
2. Select Contract and Period. Royalty period selection will list the royalty periods for the contracts starting from the selected contracts earliest balance period.
3. Click OK.

Note: Highlighted Payee ID on the inquiry results indicates the payee is held for AP payments.

This Inquiry displays royalty sales balance information by payee (author) and period. For each company the withholding tax method is defined to determine how the tax is calculated. The available methods are – On payment and On earned Royalty.

1. In the menu, expand Publishing Modules > Rights & Permission > Royalty Inquiries and then double-click Royalty Balance by Payee Inquiry. RYI210 Royalty Balance by Payee selection panel appears.
2. Enter the Payee and the Royalty period and  click OK. All the contracts for the payee/agent will be included even if the payee is expired.

To display balance details of a contract for a payee and royalty period combination use the Balance details option.

2. Enter the Agent and the Royalty period and  click OK.

To display balance details of contract for a payee and royalty period combination use the Balance details option.

This inquiry displays sales and royalty data by contract by item. The results of the inquiry can be exported to excel using function Export. The excel output has additional information including Document number, Our reference and Discount rate.

1. In the menu, expand Publishing Modules > Rights & Permission > Royalty Inquiries and then double-click Royalty Sales Details. RYI060 Royalty Sales Details selection panel appears.
2. Enter the Period and/or Payee and Item.
3. Click OK. The report will be displayed for the selected period/payee/item.
4. Click function Export to download the report to excel if required.

Rights inquiry displays the rights exploits details for the selected contract and works.

1. In the menu, expand Publishing Modules > Rights & Permission > Other Income > Collection Contracts > Collection Contract Inquiries and then double-click Rights by Customer. RYI420 Rights by Customer inquiry selection panel appears.
2. Enter either the contact or the customer code and click OK. All the rights exploits for the entered contact/customer will be displayed.

Rights inquiry displays the rights exploits details for the selected contract and works.

1. In the menu, expand Publishing Modules > Rights & Permission > Royalty Inquiries and then double-click Rights Inquiry. RYI430 Rights Inquiry selection panel appears.
2. Enter any of the selection criteria: Item/works description, Item, Contract, Payee or Works ID and click OK.

Note: When a Works ID is entered as the selection criteria then the parent work and any child of that parent would also be listed. The item search logic will be based as below:

• Match the item code and process, failing that
• Match the alternate item and process, failing that
• Grab the item which belongs to alternate item and process it, failing that
• Match with item supplier code and process it, failing that
• Grab the item which belongs to item supplier code and process it.
