The Subscriptions module allows you to easily create, view, modify and manage subscribers and products on an individual basis. It supports multiple product types and formats such as books, CDs, online subscriptions etc. Subscribers are grouped into lists (subscription lists) depending on the characteristics of their subscription. For example, two subscribers subscribing to the same product will be on different lists if one is subscribing for one year and the other is subscribing for six months. Grouping them together enables you to maintain these subscribers on a group level rather than on an individual level. Changes that are made to a particular subscription are made within these lists and apply to each subscriber on the list without having to make changes to the details of every single subscriber. This saves you both time and resources while reducing the potential for errors, as the change is consistent across the entire list of subscribers.
There are three main components to the maintenance of subscriptions. These are:
- Subscription lists
- Subscription orders and
- Product lists
Subscription lists are used to identify the publications requiring distribution and associated charges. Each format of the publication is usually identified by a unique Subscription List.

Using the Subscriptions Module will ensure you are in complete control of your entire subscriptions process. The time and staff resources you save through the automation of order processing, renewals and invoicing can be spent analysing the comprehensive reports provided for you by the system. The insights and trends depicted by these reports can help improve the effectiveness of your marketing efforts, improve your relationships with your subscribers, enable more up-selling and cross-selling of your products and increase customer retention thereby ensuring revenue growth. The IP1 Subscriptions Module will be the only tool you will ever need to manage your subscriptions process; this is why many IP1 customers choose to successfully manage their subscriptions with the Subscriptions Module.
