Subs order monthly release

This Subscriptions order release program is for Direct Mail campaign subscriptions. It will only select subscriptions for release based on the following.

  • company selected
  • subscription levels selected
  • subscription order status as defined TMSSM/SMO045-S
  • customer status
  • subscription status by customer classification as per TMSSM/SMO045-C for CC-SBSTS
  • subscription start month date (joining date) against the reference date specified unless order priority is 1 on the subscription order.
  • subscription orders not yet supplied for the month
  • subscription list must be linked to a product list
  1. In the menu, expand Publishing Modules > Subscriptions Management > Subs Release/Renewal and then double-click Subs order Monthly Release. SMO045 Subs Order Monthly Release panel appears.

 Field Description 
Reference date This  will default to today’s date and is the cutoff date (for the month) for the subscription order start date. For example if Reference date is 15/02/2018, then any subscription order joined between 1st and 15th will be delivered (provided it is not supplied already in February 2018). However if the date is the last day of the month, then ALL unsupplied subscription orders will be generated based on the selection criteria.
Company  Subscription orders can be generated by company.
  1. Enter the above information, as required.
  2. Select all other fields as required.
  3. Click OK to confirm.

  1. Select/enter any of the above order information as required.
  2. Click OK to generate the distribution order.
Note

For PAYG subscriptions (promotional), the subscription order would only be released until the subscription length specified on the subs list maintenance. For example if  the Term type is  ‘Issue monthly’,  and the subscription length is 3, then the subscription orders would only be released 3 times. 

The generated distribution order would have the following.

  • All items in the product list linked to the subscription with the applied substitutions

  • The price override rule will apply in the following order.

    1. Price override by shipment price/discount (order amount would be prorated to item by their selling price. Any adjustments from rounding will use the adjustment item defined in TMSSM/SMO045-A) or
    2. Overriding product list price code/price or
    3. Default product list price code/price.
  • The order amount would be retrieved from product list price, unless it is overridden by the shipment price/discount, then the order amount would be prorated to item by their selling price. Any adjustments from rounding will use the adjustment item defined in TMSSM/SMO045-A.
  • Bonus items for the appropriate shipment number
  • Immediate substitutes
  • Due date would be calculated by charge method
  • Collation text would be included in the order header text
  • Special freight charges is available for local orders as defined in control file TMSSM/SMO045-F (Type=1).
  • Combined shipping will be available for multiple orders released together if the delivery address is the same as defined in TMSSM/SMO045-F (Type=2)
  • A single consolidated subscription run number will be assigned by company
Note

Subscriptions can be shipped monthly/quarterly/ half yearly etc based on the subscription term and the frequency. The subscription term must be defined accordingly for this in control file TMSSM/SL-STRMT, where Time type must be 2=month and the length of the term e.g. 001 (monthly),003 (quarterly),006 (half yearly) etc as required. The length of the term must be greater than zero, otherwise the order will not be released.
