This process allows the maintenance of an item that may be a component of a Mix, Assortment, Pack or Variety.
Add a new component
- In the menu, expand Base Modules > Distribution > Masterfiles >Database Management > Database Management > Item Masterfiles > Other Item Maintenance and double-click IM Mass Component Maintenance. DSM023 Mass Component Maintenance panel appears.
| Field | Description |
| Original component | If an original component is being replaced in various “packs”, enter this component here. If a component is being added to various “packs”, leave this field blank. |
| New component | The component which is being added or replaced is entered here. |
| New quantity per | The quantity of the new component that is replacing the existing component or being added is entered in this field. |
| Display only maintainable packs | Whether or not to display the “packs” that could be affected by this component change is determined by this flag. |
- Enter the required information.
- Click OK to confirm. DSM023 Mass Component Maintenance panel is displayed showing all maintainable packs. The message Only Maintainable packs are displayed is displayed on the panel if the fields in the header selection screen was checked.
- Select the Pack ID and click Add.
- Click OK to confirm that the new component selected is to be added to the packs displaying on the panel.
