This process exports future stock obsolescence provision into an excel file based on the current inventory write down formula (maximum 24 months).
Generate future stock obsolescence
- In the menu expand, Base Modules > General Ledger > Other > Stock Obsolescence > Generation Cycle and then double-click GL Future Stock Obs. DSO514 Stock Obsolescence Future Provision Generation panel appears.

| Formula set | The formula set is used to identify the stock write down calculation, for example, company or tax. |
| Show heading | This flag determines whether to display heading or not. |
| Output path/name | Enter a valid pathname for the generated output file location. |
| Price code | Price code to be included in stock obsolescence generation for future provision, price code determines the currency and the type of sale. |
| Period | Select range for period. From period is current period and to period can be maximum 24 months onwards from current period. |
| Company | This is company for which GL definition is to be added. This is mandatory entry. |
| Level 1-5 |
Hierarchy levels classify Titles into groups based on levels such as publishers, authors, subjects and so on. Select range of item levels to be included in stock obsolescence generation for future provision or use ‘***’ to select all. |
| Item | Select range of items to be included in stock obsolescence generation for future provision. |
| Warehouse | Select range of warehouses to be included in stock obsolescence generation for future provision. |
- Enter the above information and click OK to confirm. Job processing panel is displayed.
- Change the job queue if required and select to run the process in batch or real time.
- Click OK to confirm the selection. Stock Obsolescence for future provision is generated. View stock obsolescence report to view the results.
