Add a user to a department
- Expand menu Base > Distribution > Masterfiles > Database Management > Database Management > Pending Masterfiles > Pending Masterfiles and double-click Pending Definition: User/Dept . DSM805 Pending Users Department Maintenance panel appears.
| Options | Description |
| Change | Access DSM805 Pending Users Department Maintenance panel to change the department details to which users are linked to. |
| Delete | Access DSM805 Pending Users Department Maintenance panel to delete users from the department. |
- Click Add. DSM805 Pending Users Department Maintenance panel appears.
- Enter the following information.
| Field | Description |
| User | The format of the user identification must be the same format as the User Profiles for the IBM Power Systems used by the system administrator when users were setup to have access to the system. There is no validation on this field but if the entry here does not match the user ID typed in when the user accesses the system, they will not be considered authorised to release a pending order for the specific department and reason code. |
| Department | This is the department that is responsible for reviewing and approving/rejecting a pended transaction. The pending department must be set prior to adding a user. |
- Click OK. The entered user is assigned to the selected department.
