Avalara GL journals can be manually created and an excel report generated for checking before posting the journals to General Ledger. General Ledger accounts for Avalara tax postings must be setup in BNADS/AV-GL and default journal type and number can be maintained in control BNADS/AV-JNLT. The excel template (BNO010.xlsx) for the report must reside on the network folder as setup in the server path defined in XAM160 Data Exchange and control file ********/DE-SVR.
- In the menu expand, Other Modules > Other Regions > US Options > US and Canada Taxation and then double-click Avalara GL Journal Generation. BNO010 Avalara GL Journal Generation panel appears.
- Enter the following information.

| Period | Period will default to the current GL period. The system will accept current or next GL period only. |
| Option | The following options are available:

| Location | This is the location of the excel file on your network. The location must be setup in the server path defined in XAM160 Data Exchange and control file ********/DE-SVR. The system will default the defined location. |
| Filename | File name of the download file. The total length of file name including the extension of .xlsx has to be less than or equal to 50. |
| Company code | Enter a single company code or a range to generate journals for multiple companies within the same region. |
| Item level 1 | Enter a specific Item level 1 or leave blank to select all. |
- Select the required option and click OK.
