Menu user maintenance allows the creation and maintenance of new users and its access rights. Each user defined in the Menu System contains some default attributes associated with their operating environment as well as access lists to the various menu options. Both these sets of data are maintained via this program.
The program is designed to maintain user access rights by displaying complete menus and allowing addition, changes or deletion of individual options for the selected user. The user attributes are displayed on the top portion of the display and can be altered if desired. Adding or changing access rights to an option, which leads to another menu, will display the lower level menu for further selections. In the case of command options the program will combine all the options into one display and accept the execution criteria (for example batch job priority and override output queue).
Although comments cannot actually be executed, they can still be allocated or removed from individual users’ menus as required. This allows comments to be suppressed from the individual user’s menu if they refer to options to which he has no access rights.
