This process is used to create and maintain the Trade Unit Number (TUN) and the relationship between this TUN and the product and the quantity of product in a carton. The TUN can be used in a similar way to the barcode to retrieve product details. The TUN is used with Radio Frequency (RF) scanners to record the quantities of a product received or dispatched by scanning the TUN number.
A WARNING is given if same TUN code exists in Item Masterfile or Barcode.
Allows the item and carton quantity as a not unique key. So the same item can have multiple TUN codes with the same carton quantity.
