The Stock Allocation by Branch allows the user to allocate stock to and reserve stock in selected warehouses, as well as delete or change existing information. It is referred to by the order entry routine through its warehouse field and is necessary for accurate stock control. Stock reservation entry is used to allocate stock until it is called for. When the orders need to be filled, the reservation is cancelled, allocated stock is freed and the order is processed. The on board quantity may also be entered. Each branch is only allowed a certain amount of stock.
