Publisher Claims

Publisher Claims module in Iptor IP1 allows you to process claims against suppliers or publishers for damaged titles, misbound books etc or simply overstocked titles.

Publisher claims process

  • Publisher credit claim entry – The credit claim is recorded via the Publisher credit claim entry program, which enables you to register a credit claim for one or more titles, by company by supplier.  Stock is written off and customer order and supplier purchase orders are cancelled for the selected company only.
  • Claim request report – A subsequent claim request report can be generated, which lists the claims that have been raised for a specific supplier. This report may be forwarded to the supplier for approval.
  • Publisher credit claim approval – Once you have received approval from the supplier to proceed with the claim, register the authorised return quantity on the publisher claim. If only part of the originally claimed quantity has been approved, the claim quantity can be modified. Any invalid claims can be deleted.
  • Release/Update publisher credit claim – The outstanding credit claim can now be completed. Stock adjustments are generated if specified, and the following fields in the Title Masterfile is automatically updated.
    • Item status

    • Stock status for all customer group codes that belong to the selected company
