The Price and Availability Order Entry function has been designed so that the price and availability inquiry panels are accessible before ordering stock. This process is subject to User Access Restrictions. Refer to User Access/Restrictions documentation for more information.
Depending on control file setup the panel may display a different layout. This functionality is useful for customer service telephone orders where a query into stock availability and price specific to the customer can become an order while still within the Price & Availability Inquiry. Items can be searched for by author who is a contact linked to an item as a contributor. This is set up in TMSDS/IM-ALSET control file.
- In the menu, expand Distribution > Order Processing & Billing > Order Processing > Order Entry > Direct to Invoice> Order Entry Methods and then double-click P&A Order Entry via DI. DSI907 Title Alpha Search panel appears.
Available functions on this panel are:

- Enter search data as required or click OK to view the selected items.

| Search data | Entry of the search data field is optional. The Search data field is used to find items quickly by entering the ISBN or related information. The system scans all the items and retrieves those matching the information entered in this field. |
| Cust no | Customer account for the customer placing the order. |
| Qty | Enter the number of items to be ordered. |

- Click on any of the above functions to access the program for that function.
