Create new count cycle category
- In the menu, expand Base Modules > Distribution > Inventory Management > Warehouse Management > RF Cycle Count > RF Cycle Count Process and double-click Work with RF Cycle Count Category. WHW155 Work with Count Category panel appears.
| Function | Description |
| Reseq | This function is used to re-sequence the categories. This function resorts the categories starting from the lowest existing sequence number. |
| Add | This function is used to add new count cycle category. |
| Option | Description |
| Detail | This option access count category selection in change mode to modify category definition. Category name can not be changed. |
| Copy | This allows you to copy existing count category definition as new definition with the similar attributes. |
| Header | This option access count category selection header in display mode to display the count allocation, last allocated date, last release date. |
| Alloc | This option is used to calculate allocations for the selected items. |
| Rls | This option releases selected category and generates the cycle number. More than one category can be selected for release. |
| De-alloc | This allows you to reverse the allocation calculation. |
| Location | This option is used to display the locations included in the count category and the date each location was last counted. |
- Click Add to create new count cycle category. .WHW155 Work with Count Category panel appears in add mode.
| Field | Description |
| Category | Enter a definition code a maximum of 8 characters. |
| Category description | This is a description for the Stocktake cycle. |
| Sequence | In Count Category Selection enter the preferred sequence for the cycle definition. This must be a unique number except 999. The sequence number 999 is used for Ad-Hoc cycle counts. |
| Status |
When creating a new cycle category enter A=Active, C=close when no longer required. O=Once Only for Ad-Hoc Cycle counts |
| Count number and period |
If a number and a day or month is entered, the system will calculate back to the last time that the stock was counted and only add those items that fit the criteria. Blank = means always used for Ad-hoc counts Day = enter the number of days that the calculation should start from for the next Stocktake cycle. Enter D in the next field. |
| Warehouse | Select a warehouse or warehouse to be included in the cycle count. This is a mandatory entry. |
| Warehouse type | Select a warehouse type or leave blank. |
| Warehouse zone | Select a warehouse zone or leave blank. |
| Bay | Select a Bay or Bays to be included in the cycle count or leave blank. |
| Level | Select a Level or levels to be included in the cycle count or leave blank. |
| Location | Select a specific location or locations to be included in the cycle count or leave blank or all. |
- Enter the above information, as necessary.
- Click Page down.
| Field | Description |
| ABC class | Automatic ABCD classification is available based on a product’s warehouse movement costs over the last 12 months (as a percentage of the total movement costs). ABC Classifications play an important role in RF Cycle Counting. |
| Level 1-5 | Item hierarchical levels 1-5 can be included in the Count category definition. |
| ISBN | These are the ISBNs to be included in the definition. |
| Classification type | A Classification type can be included in this definition. |
| Classification code | These are the Classification codes that have been defined in the Classification types previously selected for inclusion in this definition. |
- Enter the above information, as necessary.
- Click Page down.

| Warehouse stock value | The cycle selection can be made by a Warehouse stock value. Enter the value that the count should include. |
| Unit stock value | The cycle selection can be made by Unit stock value. Enter the Unit stock value that the count should include. |
| Not counted | Enter the date for items that have not been counted since that date. |
| Not counted (A) | Enter the date for items belonging to the A Classification. |
| Not counted (B) | Enter the date for items belonging to the B Classification. |
| Not counted (C) | Enter the date for items belonging to the C Classification. |
| Not counted (D) | Enter the date for items belonging to the D Classification. |
| Discrepancy |
If the Cycle is for discrepancy only select this flag and change to Y=Yes. Otherwise leave as N=No. |
- Enter the above information, as necessary.
- Click OK to confirm the selection. New count cycle category is added.
