Detail job report summarises revenue, expenses and gross profit of completed projects.
It compares expenses to the revenue to determine the gross profit for the related projects. Related projects are projects linked together. Example: the 800000 series jobs.
This report prints the following details by project. The data is extracted and presented in specific columns.
- Revenue transactions are extracted from the Project details (BPPJB00P) by project ID. The revenue status = ‘I’.
- The cost types and report headers for the report are stored in Control File TMSBP/BPR090-1. The Control File allows cost types and report headings to be changed if required.
- Commitments (Purchase orders) are extracted from the project details (BPPJB00P) by project type and cost type. Transactions are identified by record type = 2 and commitment status = A.
- Actuals (Invoiced transactions) are extracted from the project details (BPPJB00P) by project ID and cost type. The record type = 3.
- Budget transactions are extracted from the project details (BPPJB00P) by project ID. Transactions are identified by record type = 1.
- Gross Profit = Revenue earned – Total of expenses.
- Gross Profit % = Gross Profit/Revenue Earned
- In the menu, expand Publishing Modules > Book Publishing > Project Report > Management Reports and double-click BP Detail Job Report. BPR090 Detail Job Report panel appears.
- Enter the selection fields as required.
- Click OK to produce the report.
The report lists the following information.
- Project Id
- Project Description
- Type
- Revenue
- Total cost
