Price change by %

This function of auto-pricing management generates a global price change by percentage increase or decrease, against existing prices. Price maintenance is performed only on currently active prices.

Various selection criteria are available to qualify the repricing.

  • The repricing routine may apply to a specific price code range or effective date range
  • Repricing can be selected for price codes with a specific expiry date
  • Prices can be recalculated in local and foreign currencies
  • Repricing can be generated by type of sale
  • Percentage increase/decrease can be nominated for repricing calculations as well as recommended retail price update routines
  • Repricing calculation may range from all divisions held on the system down to one specific Title.

Maintain price by percentage for a selected range of items

  1. In the menu, expand Base Modules Distribution > Masterfiles > Auto pricing > Repricing directly to Price Files and double-click AUP Global Price Change by %. DSM330 Auto Price Maintenance by Percentage panel appears.

Field Description 
From price code From price code is mandatory.
To price code To price code is mandatory.
From currency Enter the range of currencies for the prices to be updated.
From type of sale Optionally update prices for one or more Type of sale.
As at date This is the date when the prices shave been charged.
Effective date This is the date a particular price comes into effect.
Expiry date This is the date a particular price expires and is therefore no longer valid.
Price % change A  percentage increase/decrease can be nominated for repricing calculations.
Use rounding Indicate if you want to use rounding.
Update RRP This field determines whether the recommended retail price will be updated or not.
RRP % change A percentage increase/decrease can also be nominated for recommended retail price update routines.
  1. Enter the required information.
  2. Click OK to confirm.

This generates a global price change by percentage increase or decrease, against existing prices.

A report will be printed, displaying for each Title the action that has been taken (added or deleted), price code, Title quantities and prices, RRP and effective date.
