Foreign Language facility is provided to record and print Titles in different languages for export orders. A Title can therefore be printed in multiple languages.
Add/change foreign item description
- In the menu, expand Base Modules > Distribution > Masterfiles >Database Management > Database Management > Item Masterfiles > Item masterfiles and double-click IM Foreign Language Descriptions. DSM118 Foreign Item Maintenance panel appears.
- Enter the item and click OK.
- Select the record and click option Change. DSM118 Foreign Item Maintenance panel appears in Add mode.
| Field | Description |
| Stationary type | Stationary type is a class of document, like invoice or priced dispatch docs and it is used as a criteria for defining Foreign Language descriptions of the Titles and their Authors. It is defined in TMSDS/CM-STTY. |
| Foreign desc | The Foreign Description field is used to record the title, in the selected foreign language. If a foreign language stationery type is selected during invoice printing, the appropriate description and extended description are retrieved and printed on the invoice. |
| Foreign author | This Foreign Author can be used to further describe the title in the selected foreign language. Where books are concerned this field is used for the name of the author in a foreign language. |
- Key in all the required fields and click OK to confirm. Foreign item description gets added.
