Maintain suspended orders

During order entry an order can be suspended and re-activated at a later stage. This means if there are interruptions during order entry, for example to attend a meeting, the order is not cancelled or lost.

Orders suspended during order entry can be retrieved and re-activated by the user who originally entered the order. The system records the user ID at order entry time, which it checks when Suspend is selected. Only those orders you have suspended show when orders are maintained.

Note  If an order was entered with Defer Calculation On, click Pfrm Calculation before suspending the order.

If a customer is classified as being a Standard Order Form customer on the control file, the suspended order can be accessed by all users. The order can be suspended by clicking function Suspend from order entry line detail panel.

  1. On the order header panel click Mnt susp order. DSE005C Order entry – suspended order selection panel appears. All suspended orders for current users are displayed. 

The following options are available on this panel.

 Option  Description
Select  This option is used to select suspended order for maintenance. 
Display order Accesses DSI120 Transaction Inquiry to display selected order details. 
  1. Select the suspended order to be maintained.
  2. Key in the remaining fields to complete the order.
