The purpose of the DRP module is to enable publishers to more realistically forecast the demand of books based on things such as sales history, current market trends and similar items previously produced. It has been designed to achieve the most accurate prediction of expected sales, in quantities. The system uses previous sales and pre-defined formulas to come up with forecasted requirements. Multiple formulas can be applied to generate forecast.
