The ABC Class Update program updates Title ABC classes based on stock movements. This is used within Cycle Counting. It accumulates the last 12 months’ movements in and out of the warehouse.
A report is generated showing Cost movement in descending order for each Title along with the current ABC class and the suggested ABC class.
Update title ABC class
- In the menu, expand Base Modules > Distribution > Masterfiles >Database Management > Database Management > Item Masterfiles > Item masterfiles and double-click IM ABC Class Update. DSO515 ABC Class Update panel appears.

This is the current period. Calculate based on the stock movement of the previous 12 months (i.e. exclude current period). |
| Print mode |
Select to print all titles or only those where the suggested ABC class is different from the current ABC class. |
| Update |
Check to instruct the system to update ABC class. |

- Click OK to produce the report.
This report displays the following information,
- Cost
- Cost percentage
- Item and its description
- Current ABC class
- Suggested ABC class
- Status
