Introduction
This section of Cross Applications module allows you to set up company region database to enable day end and month end processes by individual company or region (group of companies).
Work with company region
Create a new company region database
This database holds the following data to enable regional period close.
- Company
- Region
- Daily control numbers for EOD
- EOM Periods to replace control file values.
- In the menu, expand Other Options > Cross Applications Support > Control Files and double-click Work with Company Region. XAW030 Work with Company Region panel appears.
- Click Add and XAW030 Work with Company Region panel appears in Add mode.
- Enter the following information, as necessary.

Company | The 2 digit company code, as defined in control file TMSDS/CONO. The company must exist in this database for the EOD/EOM process to run. | Yes | ||
Company name | The name of the company being added, this will default automatically from the control file TMSDS/CONO. | Yes | ||
Run group |
This is the region that the selected company belongs to, as defined in control file ********/EOP-GRP. If this field is populated then EOD/EOM process for selected company will be run by the this region. If blank then the EOD/EOM process will be run by the individual company.

- Click OK to save the company.
Add EOD/EOM functions
Once the company is added to the database, you can add the EOD/EOM functions to the company/region.
- In the menu, expand Other Options > Cross Applications Support > Control Files and double-click Work with Company Region. XAW030 Work with Company Region panel appears.
- Select the company you wish to add EOD/EOM function to and click option Detail.

Un-lock |
Un-lock option would allow you to change the status of the EOD/EOM process from ‘L’ocked to ‘O’pen. This would be useful if there are issues with the EOD/EOM process and you wish to stop it & re-run the process. Please exercise care, when selecting this option.

- Click Add to add the EOD/EOM functions.
- Enter the following information, as necessary.

Function |
This is the end of day or end of month process as defined in control file ********/EOP-FNC. These functions have to be defined once only for a company within a region and it will apply for all companies in that region. If it’s an individual company (not allocated to a region) then the entered functions will apply to the specific company only. |

Run key |
The value for the Run key is dependent on the Function entered. If the Function is an end of day (EOD) process then Run key must be the daily control number. If the Function is an end of month (EOM) process then Run key must be the period. The Run key is entered once only and it will be updated at the end of EOD/EOM process.

Last run key | This is either the control number for the last EOD run or the period for the last EOM run. | Display only | ||
Status | Status would be ‘O’, open for transactions or ‘L’ locked when the EOD/EOM process is running. If there is an issue when the process is running the status will be locked at status ‘L’. | Display only | ||
Run job | This is the ID for the last job that ran for the EOD/EOM function if the status is at open status, or the current job that is running. The user who initiated the job is also displayed. | Display only | ||
Run start | Time and date when the job kicked off for the selected EOD/EOM process. | Display only | ||

Time and date when the job finished for the selected EOD/EOM process. |

- Click OK to save
- Repeat steps 3 to 5 for each region.
IMPORTANT |
You must ensure all companies are setup in the correct regions and the period and control numbers defined accurately for the EOD/EOM function to work as intended. |
