Moratoriums and discounts
The Subscriptions module allows you to specify the moratorium period (time for which no charge or a reduced price is levied before full price is charged) as well as the percentage of price reduction. Once the period has expired the system automatically charges the full price; you do not have to make any adjustments nor track the amount of time.
Similarly, you can specify the percentage of a discount and the length of time the discount will apply for. The Subscriptions Module supports time dependant discounts, where a different discount percentage may apply for different periods within the subscription term. Once you initially define the terms of the discount the system tracks the discount automatically; the only changes you will need to make are when the terms of the discount change.
Moratoriums and discounts can be applied to a subscription list where every subscriber on that list is bound by the same terms or it can be applied on an individual level where certain customers are given different terms.
The Subscriptions module allows you to specify reasons for the moratoriums and discounts on which you can later run reports to further analyse their effects.
Grace days
The Subscriptions Module allows you to pre-define grace days (number of days to supply a product after a renewal is issued and unpaid) on a group level, where every subscriber on a list is given the same amount of grace days, or on an individual level, where certain customers are given additional or less grace days.
Event based and time based subscriptions
The Subscriptions Module supports both event-based and time-based subscriptions. It also keeps a record of the number of issues within a subscription term as well as the number of the subsequent issue to be released. For example, if your subscription is for five issues and you have already released three, the system will record that the next issue will be the fourth. This makes it easier to track which issue you are currently up to, especially if you have multiple subscriptions with multiple issues.
